Hive for Heroes with Steven Jimenez
Steven Jimenez and I talk about how “Hive for Heroes” is approaching PTSD through beekeeping. We also discuss the challenges this unique non-profit faces from raising money to managing a “hive” of volunteers.
Every Veteran business owner has a unique story to tell about their journey through entrepreneurship. Those stories can help inspire, educate, and motivate other Veterans who are either in the middle of their own journey or considering starting one. The After Action Review Podcast (The AAR Podcast) serves as a vehicle to create, promote, and support a network of Veteran entrepreneurs by capturing and sharing their stories with the Veteran community.
The AAR Podcast, is an audio and video podcast for Military and Veteran entrepreneurs, business owners, artists, and non profit organizations. We promote entrepreneurship and Veteran products, business, and service.

I sat down with Luvina Sabree, US Army Veteran and owner of So Natural Organic Restaurant and Market. Great conversation about growing up in Chicago, the challenges of being a Muslim business owner on top of being a Veteran, and her recent television debut on Kitchen Impossible! It was a great talk despite the audio issues.

I sat down with Mike Allred, owner and head coach at SICFIT Round Rock in Round Rock TX. Mike has been a close friend since we first started working together as contractor for the same company and I've had the privilege of watching this gym grow from an idea to its grand opening. We got to talking about the fitness industry, some of the ways this gym came together and some of the challenges involved with having land lords. Mike is a 10 year Veteran of the United States Marine Corps and his made his passion for fitness into his business.
