The After Action Review

Every Veteran business owner has a unique story to tell about their journey through entrepreneurship. Those stories can help inspire, educate, and motivate other Veterans who are either in the middle of their own journey or considering starting one. The After Action Review Podcast (The AAR Podcast) serves as a vehicle to create, promote, and support a network of Veteran entrepreneurs by capturing and sharing their stories with the Veteran community.

Episode 6 - Anna Baker and Casilda Clarich of Your Smart Closet

Anna Baker is a Texas native and former US Air Force cryptologist.  In 1997, she got her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Schreiner University and in 2012 received her MBA from Baylor.  After 17 years in the corporate world, she co-founded Your Smart Closet with Casilda.  Anna is also the Manager of the Women Veterans Program at the Texas Veterans Commission.

Casilda (Casi) Clarich is a Texas native and a University of Texas alum.  She received her MBA from Baylor in 2012.  With her extensive background in marketing and her life-long entrepreneurial spirit, Casi  is the founder and CEO of Your Smart Closet.  She also serves as Director of Marketing and Membership for the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Episode 4 - Steven Boyd of Rescues 4 Warriors

Steven is a 13 year US Army Infantryman disabled Veteran who’s served as a Jump Master, Long Range Surveillance Team Leader, and Sniper Team Leader.  He is the founder of Rescues 4 Warriors, a non-profit organizationthat funds adoption and training of shelter dogs for Veterans as companions and as service dogs. His story of finding his dog Django and their journey through healing is a true inspiriation.

Episode 1 - Mike Allred of SICFIT Round Rock

I sat down with Mike Allred, owner and head coach at SICFIT Round Rock in Round Rock TX. Mike has been a close friend since we first started working together as contractor for the same company and I've had the privilege of watching this gym grow from an idea to its grand opening. We got to talking about the fitness industry, some of the ways this gym came together and some of the challenges involved with having land lords.
